Ducati 916 Strada

1994 ducati 916 strada. It is common knowledge that the first ducati 916 bikes built in 1994 were all built at the Cagiva research centre in Varese due to a fire at the Ducati Bologna factory, a total of 1,443 916 strada bikes were built in 1994 for the Europe market. These bikes were all built with the Weber P8 ecu’s and fitted with pankl con rods, they were also stamped with the Cagiva logo.

Our bike is chassis number 000060 making it the 60th 916 built, the wheels and brake callipers are stamped 1993 and the original Cagiva stamped screen and exhausts are still fitted.

The bike was originally registered in May 1994 in Italy ( shown in the service book)and then imported to England in September 1995 where it was sold by then Ducati dealer Alan Jefferies to its first keeper who kept it until August 2012, since then it has been in the same family and only covered a few thousand kilometres. A fully stamped original service book and a pile of invoices\Mot’s are present.

This is a very collectible early ducati and will almost certainly be a great investment as the prices of 916’s are rising year on year.
