Being an early model this bike comes unrestricted and was once the fastest production bike in the world, the name Hayabusa is Japanese for Peregrine Falcon; the fastest living animal and the natural predator of the Blackbird.
After 1999 there was a gentleman’s agreement between the Japanese and European manufacturers to limit top speeds to no more than 186mph, so the 1999 Hayabusa remained the fasted Production bike ever made for 14 years, when it was unseated by the Ducati Panigale R.
